THE QUEST

Venus as “Lucifer” the Morning Star is a time of road-testing desires seeded during the Venus Retrograde. We get to explore the refreshed frequency of goals, creative visions, and re-defined values.

This phase is about learning how to feel and implement these new dimensions of self while releasing old conditioning and staying open to trial and error.

After her retrograde Venus rises high in the morning sky then just like Lucifer, she begins to “fall”, this shift correlates to the mythic descent of Inanna, the Sumerian Queen of Heaven and Earth, a Venus Deity connected to Ishtar, Isis and various other incarnations across time.

It’s in this “falling” phase that Venus meets the waning moon 7 times en route to the mythic underworld where she dies and is reborn as the Queen of Heaven AND Earth” rising as the mature, radiant Evening Star.

The descent of Inanna provides an astro-mythic map that invites us to actively engage with our desires, test them and refine our approach as we go. It’s a process of expansion and release that increases our bandwidth as we gather experience and cross new thresholds of relational and creative capacity.

With the additional recent ingress of Neptune (often called the Higher Octave of Venus) entering Aries, there is an additional call now to bring divine love into tangible, action. As Venus has also just started her new 584 day cycle in Aries, there is an undeniable current of brave, pioneering, feminine fire which is seeding new paradigms of perception and participation on Earth.

The Chinese character for Danger also signifies Opportunity. When the old order collapses and norms shift, it opens doors to innovate and collaborate in radical new ways.
